Prouty to be New MCEA President
Contested Elections for VP & Secretary
Wednesday 4/1 was the nominations deadline for the upcoming election to the MCEA Board of Directors. Current MCEA President, Bonnie Cullison, is term limited, creating a vacancy in MCEA’s top spot.
As of the nominations deadline, current MCEA Vice-President, Doug Prouty, was the sole candidate to file for the president position. In accord with MCEA’s By-Laws, he is therefore elected by acclamation. Prouty, a former English teacher at Walter Johnson HS, has served as MCEA’s Vice-President for the past four years.
