Seeking Safety and Security


Teacher and two studentsClear-eyed vigilance and strong staff cooperation thwarted efforts recently to do violence at Springbrook High School. It was a fortunate ‘catch’ and averted potentially serious bodily injury. Our hats are off to all MCPS employees and school staff who assisted in discovering the student plan.

Tranfers: Voluntary and Involuntary

The voluntary transfer period will remain open until Friday, May 22. Educators designated as an involuntary transfer will be placed during the first week of June (if they have not found their own position through the voluntary process). Learn more

Try including extra credit problems on your quizzes and tests, but, in a twist, don’t let the students know which problems count for extra credit. Learn more
